Early scouting of talented children for recruitment to sport academies puts a high pressure on the health of children and teenagers. Their developing bodies and minds require a delicate balance of activity and regeneration, not only for the musculoskeletal system, but also for nutrition, hydration, energy metabolism, bowel functioning, and relaxation techniques.
Recognising the lack of nutritional and medical advice, we aim to address young athletes’ needs from a paediatric gastroenterological and nutritional perspective.
