Dr Marcus KH Auth (MD, PD, FRCPCH) is a Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and is Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.

Dr Auth is a renowned national and European expert, actively involved in several working groups. He has published more than 50 publications in prestigious journals and given several hundred presentations, including national audits and guidelines. He is a senior lead gastroenterology consultant with huge expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, selection and interpretation of appropriate modern investigations for the child, and involves other specialists as needed in complex situations. Dr Auth is Honorary Lecturer at University of Liverpool. He is also a senior fellow of the Royal College of Paediatric Children Health (RCPCH), and senior member of the British and European Societies of Paediatric Gastroenterology (BSPGHAN and ESPGHAN). Dr Auth is a lead consultant and founder of the Northwest Network for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
He speaks several languages, and maintains a keen interest in music, culture, sports, and healthy lifestyles and environment. Marcus is married and the family have three children and a dog.
